Harrods - Luxury Accessories

London

The brief

The objective was to configure a gallery of open shops avoiding creating enclosed ‘store boxes’, giving Harrods customers freedom to explore and combine luxury home accessories of some of the most recognisable luxury brands. The retail concept also required combining larger contemporary furniture concessions together with accessories boutiques communicating an overall design approach driven by lifestyle. Completing the visit, two adjacent large rooms needed to be treated as special destinations, one fully dedicated to china and porcelain brands and the other to exclusive candles and home fragrances

Our approach

The Gallery is defined by a number of elegant portals framing a number of key offers and inviting customers to explore and shop. The ceiling treatment and the wide walkway emphasises the flow through the geometry of the flooring design, creating continuity in the visit, and leading to one of the most elegant areas of the home floor – Luxury Home 2, the China and Porcelain room collection where the basket-weave floor pattern makes a strong visual statement. A highlight of the floor is the simple and sophisticated atmosphere of the room fully dedicated to home fragrances with its luminosity and elegance of its central skylight.
