Harrods - Furniture Rooms

London

The brief

Harrods brief required consistency and coherence in the design approach to unify the seven interlinked rooms and the great variety of styles and brands – from Modern & Contemporary to Classic – of the overall furniture offer whilst giving them sufficient elements to express their individual identity within a Harrods framework. The furniture rooms location around the store perimeter needed to allow for natural light and a strong residential feel.

Our approach

The planning of the scheme allow us to establish a clear directional walkway – The Avenue – and a consistent and harmonious aesthetics applied to the transitional portals between the rooms, giving an impression of linear uniformity and sense of elegance and balance.
The architectural shell of each room and its original Edwardian ceiling decoration has been reinstated in contrast with the stylish use of pattern in columns and flooring.
