INTERCONTINENTAL DÜSSELDORF - KÖ59

The Intercontinental Dusseldorf is probably the best hotel in the city and we were invited to radically transform its lobby into an elegant day-to-night social hub as well as to create a new restaurant that would attract not just the hotel guests but a sophisticated Dusseldorf audience. The lobby lounge situated at the heart of a vast hotel atrium needed to be connected the new restaurant, Kö59, launched by German celebrity chef Björn Freitag.

Our design features elegant and comfortable seating, warm timber parquet flooring making it feel residential, warm and intimate. The transition between the lobby and the restaurant introduces a transparent architectural façade, allowing easy integration between spaces whilst still maintaining their own individual identity. The restaurant Kö59 is now an exciting and dynamic environment combining from an open kitchen to a large central feature cocktail and dining bar and a more intimate wine tasting enoteca.
